Special Education Teacher

Cross Country Education is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers in Lancaster, SC, to empower Pre-K–12 students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction, inclusive teaching practices, and collaborative student support.

Position Overview

• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities across resource, co-taught, self-contained, and specialized classroom settings.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including instructional goals, accommodations, progress monitoring, and required documentation.
• Adapt curriculum, instructional strategies, and behavioral supports to meet students’ diverse academic, functional, and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with educators, families, classroom assistants, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student achievement, independence, and inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid South Carolina Special Education Certification, including Multi-Categorical or an applicable certification (ED, MD, EMD, or TMD/Severe)
• Experience supporting students with disabilities in resource, co-taught, self-contained, or specialized classroom settings preferred
