Pay Rate: $50.00/hr

7:00am - 3:00pm (Monday to Friday)

Job Description
Develops, implements, and monitors Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal regulations.
Plans and delivers instructional lessons that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students with disabilities.
Creates and maintains a classroom environment that is safe, structured, and conducive to learning.
Employs a variety of instructional strategies, interventions, and adaptive materials to accommodate diverse learning needs.
Works collaboratively with general education teachers to promote inclusion and mainstreaming opportunities when appropriate.
Conducts ongoing assessment of student progress, maintains accurate records, and prepares required reports and documentation.
Schedules, facilitates, and participates in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and reevaluations.
Maintains regular communication with parents, guardians, educators, and support staff regarding student needs and progress.
Enforces district policies, classroom procedures, and behavior plans in a fair and consistent manner.
Supervises students during transitions, lunch, field trips, and other school-related activities to ensure safety.
Provides basic first aid and responds appropriately to student health and safety needs.
Qualifications
South Carolina Teacher Certification in one of the following areas:
Generic Special Education
Multi-Categorical
Learning Disabilities
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and procedures (IDEA compliance).
