Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Special Education Teacher/Case Manager to support students in a school setting in
Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role offers the opportunity to provide direct instruction, oversee special education compliance, and help students achieve meaningful academic and personal growth.
Position Details
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Start Date: Anticipated 12/1/2026
End Date: 6/11/2027
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Days per Week: 5 days
Campus Assignment: 1 campus
Employment Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
Serve as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager.
Provide direct instruction to students receiving special education services.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Manage special education due process requirements and documentation.
Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
Support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional needs.
Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Caseload
Approximately 5-8 students
Grades 1-8
Qualifications
Valid Minnesota teaching licensure through PELSB required.
Special Education licensure required.
Strong organizational, communication, and case management skills.
Experience working with school-age students preferred.
