Requirements:
Appropriate NJ State Certification:
- NJ Elementary/PreK-3/K-6 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities certificate or Teacher of the Handicapped certificate required
- Discrete trial teaching experience
- Experience with implementation of AAC, PECS
- Experience in working in Autism programs preferred
- Knowledge of social skills curriculum, AFLS, ABLLS and implementation
- Experience tracking data and monitoring student progress through ReThink
- De-escalation trained preferred
- Knowledge/evidence of implementation of best practices for supporting an inclusive environment and opportunities for students
- Experience working and collaborating with parents, administrators, child study team members, and other professionals to develop Individual Education Plans
