Special Education Teacher - Full-Time

As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to provide in-person services to K–12 school students. This position is for the current school year.

Special Education Teacher Position Details:

• Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–3:30 PM
• Setting: In-person, school-based services
• Employment Type: Contract position

Special Education Teacher Qualification(s):

• Must hold an active Special Education teaching certification
• Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience
• Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Strong classroom management, communication, and instructional skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction to meet students’ educational needs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and related service providers
• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Special Education Teacher Responsibilities May Include:

• Implementing specially designed instruction to drive student achievement
• Conducting progress monitoring data and adjusting instruction based on the data
• Establishing a positive, structured, achievement-focused classroom
• Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
• Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
• Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
• Participating in multidisciplinary meetings
