Position Summary:
The Special Imaging Technologist plays a vital role in supporting vascular procedures within a Level I Trauma Center. This position partners closely with vascular surgeons, assisting with a wide variety of device implants and complex interventions.
They are responsible for acquiring high-quality imaging and completing the imaging process with precision, ensuring both accuracy and efficiency throughout each procedure. Technologists demonstrate strong proficiency in the operation of multimodality imaging equipment as well as advanced post-processing software platforms.
Beyond clinical responsibilities, they serve as key contributors to inventory management by monitoring supply levels, restocking, and ordering as needed to maintain par levels and support uninterrupted case flow.
Position Qualification:
Associate Degree in Radiology Technology or certification from a technical school
Advance technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to the image acquisition and post processing (Phillips X-Ray Equipment, Xcelera, IVUS, FFR, Angiojet, etc.)
V.I. Radiography Certification within two years of employment for a newly hire RT.
