Special Procedures Technologist
A typical day for a Special Procedures Technologist may include:
- Work alongside physicians during a variety of special and interventional procedures.
- Assist the physician with patient positioning, preparation, and procedural needs.
- Operate and maintain radiologic and specialized procedural equipment.
- Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Accurately document and maintain procedural charges and supplies used during procedures.
- Follow established radiation safety, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols.
- Monitor and assist with patient care throughout procedures, communicating any concerns to the physician or appropriate clinical staff.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, anesthesia personnel, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe procedural environment.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities, including coverage during non-operational hours, as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

To be considered for this Special Procedures Technologist opportunity:
- Current ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Current state licensure/registration as required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Prior radiology/CT/interventional or procedural experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures, equipment, and radiation safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ability to respond to call responsibilities during non-operational hours as required.
- Willingness to complete department-specific training and competency requirements.
