Description
Join a team dedicated to building a high-performance data aggregation platform in a financial setting. Located in Jersey City, NJ, this onsite contract position involves leading the development of a new data processing engine. You will work with large-scale data transformation technologies and collaborate with a team of expert engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build a high-performance aggregation platform using a data processing framework.
- Design algorithms to optimize computational complexity of data aggregations.
- Create a semantic layer over aggregated data for business intelligence applications.
- Develop a self-service platform for defining new data aggregations.
- Load aggregated metrics into high-performance databases for analytics and UI layers.
Qualifications
- 10 years of professional experience in large-scale data engineering within financial technology.
- Expert-level experience with data processing frameworks and performance tuning.
- Experience designing semantic layers for business intelligence applications.
- Deep knowledge of risk aggregation methodologies and financial risk measures.
- Strong programming skills in general-purpose programming languages and SQL.
