Specialty Powders Production Operator

Adecco Staffing is partnering with a local manufacturer in Woonsocket, RI seeking a 1^st shift Specialty Operator. The hours for this role will be 7AM-3:30PM Mon-Fri with a starting pay rate of $19 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

Precious Metal Dissolution & Processing

• Perform dissolution processes on precious metal sponge to create a variety of precursor solutions.
• Safely handle and work with hazardous chemicals in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including glassware, air pumps, temperature probes, and pH meters.
• Wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Monitor process conditions and report mechanical, electrical, or process issues to supervision.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations for continuous process improvements.

Powder Processing & Material Handling

• Process metal powders following synthetic manufacturing operations.
• Wash powders using Buchner funnels or decantation methods.
• Transfer processed materials from wash vessels into drying trays.
• Operate drying equipment, including conventional and vacuum ovens.
• Screen materials using Vorti screeners.
• Perform jet milling operations on powder materials.
• Package finished materials into designated containers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial production environments preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and recognize process abnormalities.
• Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and measurement devices preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective verbal communication skills with coworkers and management.
• Ability to work with hazardous chemicals and wear required PPE.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
