Job description:

Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Assessor

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA (in-person)
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time | 2026–2027 School Year

About the Role:
Ascend is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Assessor to join our team for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will focus on conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for school-aged students, supporting eligibility determinations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive appropriate services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students in school settings
  • Administer and interpret standardized and non-standardized assessment tools
  • Write clear, compliant evaluation reports and present findings at IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with school teams, including psychologists, teachers, and administrators
  • Provide recommendations for services, goals, and accommodations based on assessment results
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Support re-evaluations, initial assessments, and triennial reviews

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active California SLP license (or eligibility)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience conducting school-based assessments preferred
  • Strong report writing, analytical, and communication skills
