Speech Language Pathologist Assistant School

Description:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary school students in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is an in-person, school-based opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about helping students improve their communication, speech, and language skills.

The selected candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support speech and language services, implement treatment plans, and help students develop effective communication skills in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing speech and language intervention plans.

• Provide speech and language support to elementary school students according to established treatment plans.

• Help students develop articulation, language comprehension, expressive language, and communication skills.

• Monitor student progress and document observations in accordance with established guidelines.

• Prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to students' developmental and communication needs.

• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and other professionals to support student learning and communication goals.

• Maintain accurate service documentation and follow applicable school policies and professional guidelines.

• Protect student confidentiality and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or credential as required for the position.

• Ability to work in person in an elementary school setting in Colorado Springs, CO.

• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively with children and collaborate with educators and speech-language professionals.

• Commitment to supporting students' speech, language, and communication development.

Assignment Details

• Start: As soon as possible

• Duration: Through the end of the 2026 2027 school year

• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

• Setting: In-person, elementary school

• Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
