Job Description

Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Salary Range: $39-45 per hour, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation

Job Summary:

 As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals of all ages with communication and swallowing disorders. Your role will involve working closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals

- Provide direct therapy services, including individual and group sessions, to improve communication and swallowing skills

- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care to patients

- Educate and train family members and caregivers on strategies to support and enhance patient communication and swallowing abilities

- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the field of speech-language pathology

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient services and progress

- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities

- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university

- Current state license or eligibility for state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology

- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a diverse patient population

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Flexibility to work weekends as needed

- Knowledge of various assessment and treatment techniques for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

- Experience with electronic medical records and documentation

- Passion for helping individuals with communication and swallowing disorders reach their full potential
