Job Details:

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides treatment for children and adults in our multiservice pediatric and adult outpatient area, with a need to cover inpatient as well.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates clients/patients and determines causal factors for speech, language and/or hearing impairments; gathers data related to patient's communication disorder; selects appropriate evaluation tool(s) for the purpose of assessment.
• Administers diagnostic testing procedures to determine the extent of the patient's impairment and the prognosis for improvement.
•  Develops individualized treatment programs for patients diagnosed as needing speech and language intervention.
• Areas addressed include articulation, voice, fluency, receptive and expressive language skills, oral motor competence, dysphagia and auditory skills.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. (CCC)
• New York State license and registration in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) required
• Previous experience with adult neurologic population is preferred.
• Hours require evening coverage.
• TSHH certification is needed.

Posted Salary Range: USD $73.59 - USD $73.59 /Hr. :
