Speech-Language Pathologist PRN & Contract

Ambition 24 Hours Inc is building a pool of qualified Speech-Language Pathologist candidates for upcoming assignments at state-operated facilities across Texas, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and an adolescent psychiatric treatment center. We are recruiting now so we can offer you work quickly as and when roles come in.

• PRN (as-needed) shifts to start
• Short-term and long-term contract assignments will also become available
• Flexible scheduling: pick up the shifts and assignments that suit you

Assess and treat communication and swallowing needs.

• Complete speech, language and swallowing evaluations
• Develop and deliver treatment plans
• Recommend diet textures, mealtime strategies and communication supports
• Train staff and document progress

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, TB screening and any immunization requirements set by the facility
• Willingness to complete facility orientation and required training before your first shift

Hourly pay

• Standard: $58.20 $67.90 per hour
• Weekend: $60.00 $70.00 per hour
• Holiday: $87.30 $101.85 per hour
• Call-Back: $87.60 $102.20 per hour

Your rate within each range depends on your experience, credentials and the assignment.

Holiday hours run from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on the holiday.

Hours over 40 in a week are worked only when scheduled and approved by the facility in advance; approved overtime is paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate.

• Call-Back pay applies when you are asked to return to the facility after hours for an emergency, including on weekends and holidays.
