Speech-Language Pathology Assistant PRN & Contract

Ambition 24 Hours Inc is building a pool of qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant candidates for upcoming assignments at state-operated facilities across Texas, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential facilities supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and an adolescent psychiatric treatment center. We are recruiting now so we can offer you work quickly as and when roles come in.

• PRN (as-needed) shifts to start
• Short-term and long-term contract assignments will also become available
• Flexible scheduling: pick up the shifts and assignments that suit you

Deliver speech-language services under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist.

• Carry out treatment plans set by the supervising SLP
• Support communication and mealtime programs
• Prepare materials and record progress
• Report observations to the supervising SLP

• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license
• Bachelor's degree in communication sciences or a related field
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, TB screening and any immunization requirements set by the facility
• Willingness to complete facility orientation and required training before your first shift

Hourly pay

• Standard: $46.20 $53.90 per hour
• Weekend: $47.40 $55.30 per hour
• Holiday: $69.30 $80.85 per hour
• Call-Back: $69.00 $80.50 per hour

Your rate within each range depends on your experience, credentials and the assignment.

Holiday hours run from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on the holiday.

Hours over 40 in a week are worked only when scheduled and approved by the facility in advance; approved overtime is paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate.

• Call-Back pay applies when you are asked to return to the facility after hours for an emergency, including on weekends and holidays.
