About the Role
The SLPA will provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. This position requires strong communication, organization, documentation, and time management skills. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient-centered, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities Include
- Implement direct therapy and treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Provide services to pediatric patients in clinic, school, home, and/or community-based settings.
- Complete daily documentation, including SOAP notes, treatment updates, and related records.
- Support progress report preparation and treatment planning as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, clinical team members, and supervisors.
- Manage time effectively between direct treatment, documentation, scheduling, and related responsibilities.
- Maintain organized and accurate patient documentation in accordance with company policy.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and supervision meetings as required.
- Participate in team collaboration and contribute to a supportive clinical environment.
- Follow company policies, HIPAA requirements, and applicable clinical standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Current California SLPA license required.
- Associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experience in pediatric, school-based, clinic-based, or home-based services preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build positive rapport with patients, families, and team members.
- Strong organization, time management, and follow-through.
- Positive, collaborative, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently while following supervision requirements and company procedures.
