Sports Associate

About the Role

i9 Sports is looking for energetic, dependable, and positive individuals who love working with kids. As a Coach/Referee, you'll help create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where young athletes (ages 3–14) can learn the fundamentals of sports while building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

This is much more than officiating games—you're a coach, mentor, teacher, and role model for every child who steps onto the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead age-appropriate practices and skill-building activities.
• Officiate games while teaching the rules and encouraging good sportsmanship.
• Create a fun, positive, and inclusive experience for every athlete.
• Encourage participation, effort, teamwork, and respect.
• Communicate professionally with parents and answer basic program questions.
• Assist with field setup, equipment organization, and end-of-day cleanup.
• Help ensure a safe environment for all participants.
• Represent i9 Sports with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with children ages 3–14.
• Positive attitude with strong communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to lead groups and keep kids engaged.
• Basic knowledge of basketball, soccer, flag football, baseball, or T-ball is preferred but not required—we'll provide training.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and remain active for several hours outdoors.
• Background check required.

Schedule

• Primarily Saturday mornings (league days).
• Additional weekday opportunities may be available for camps and clinics.
• Flexible scheduling.
