In this role, you will be responsible for preparing materials, configuring spray guns, and ensuring a high-quality finish on all products. If you are looking for an opportunity to advance with a growing company and enjoy seeing the beauty of craftsmanship come to life, this is the company for you.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESSet up, adjust, and operate spray guns according to product specificationsClean, sand, and prepare product surfaces for coating, ensuring they are free of defects, dust, and debrisSelect, measure, and mix paints, solvents, or protective coatings according to precise product specificationsMonitor spray booth operations to ensure even distribution, correct thickness, and optimal coating adhesionPerform visual inspections of finished products to identify and correct runs, drips, uneven finishes, or color mismatchesClean spray tips, guns, nozzles, pumps, hoses, and the booth environment daily to prevent contamination and machine failureAdhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper handling of chemical materials and the mandatory use of Personal Protective EquipmentQUALIFICATIONSProven experience working in an industrial painting, spray booth environment, or auto body coatingFinishing knowledge including surface prep and paint mixing ratios preferredFamiliarity with automated spray gun settings, fluid pressure, and basic mechanical troubleshootingExcellent vision and a strong eye for surface quality, finish consistency, and defectsAbility to stand for long periods, crouch and reach, lift heavy materials, and work while wearing required personal protective equipmentUnderstanding of OSHA regulations, hazardous material handling, and safety data sheets (SDS)Candidate must have a good work historyComfortable learning to operate a forkliftAbility to lift up to 50 poundsFlexible in working overtime when necessaryBENEFITSMedical/Dental – Monthly premiums are paid by the companyPaid Time OffHoliday pay401(k) with a 3% company matchPaid weeklyEarly wage access programLife, Accident, and Vision insuranceWORK SCHEDULEMonday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm, overtime as neededPAY$23+/hr. determined by experienceABOUT USSchwieters Companies was founded in 1982 by Joel Schwieters, who trimmed 40 homes during his first year in business.
