    Description

    Oversee all tasks related to the Spray Drying of Liquids into Powder form. Perform all Quality Checks on product to ensure it meets customer specifications.

    Responsibilities

    • Concentrates liquid in VLS (evaporator) to achieve desired Specific Gravity.
    • Familiar and capable of running all equipment related to the Drying Process.
    • Communicates well with Packager to achieve desired daily goals.
    • Transfer the liquid product using pumps and controls.
    • Adjust the product according to specifications.
    • Adjust Spray Drying parameters to maximize output and reduce downtime.
    • Documentation of Drying Parameters.
    • Performs Quality Analysis.
    • Responsible for proper Labels and Code Dates.
    • Palletizes product and puts in proper warehouse location.
    • Washes all components of Dryer system as needed.
    • Nitric Wash of VLS according to schedule.
    • Combines Liquid Storage Tanks to maximize Capacity and blend batches to achieve optimal Quality specs.
    • Troubleshoots Equipment as needed.
    • Informs Foreman of any Maintenance Issues.
    • Safe handling of chemicals.

    Skills and Requirements

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
    • 3 Years experience in manufacturing
    • Ability to work rotating shifts
    • Ability to read and follow instructions; multitask in a safe manner; troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
    • Knowledge of safe chemical operation and handling
    • Ability to understand and operate equipment under pressure
    • Understanding and knowledge of flow measuring units
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Based on duties, employee may be required to wear a respirator and after a Doctor’s approval and successfully passing the fit and pulmonary test.
