Spring 2027 IT Service Desk Analyst Internship

Buffalo, NY

Company Description:

National Fuel is currently seeking to fill the below internship within the Information Technology department for the Spring 2027 semester.

Internship Description:

Service Desk Analyst

• Assist as the first point of contact for all IT-related inquiries and incidents, providing exceptional customer service via various channels (phone, email, chat, in person).
• Efficiently learn to diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate teams when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve user issues, contributing to the overall improvement of the IT infrastructure.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles and support documentation, empowering users to find self-help solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and actively participate in training sessions to enhance your technical skills.
• Assist with imaging and initial workstation setups.

Qualifications:

• Jr. or Sr. undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree/concentration in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline
• Interest in a career in software engineering with an eager and open-minded attitude towards learning new technologies
• Proficient in or knowledgeable/open to investigating tools to assist application teams
• Ability to work with a high level of independence as well as collaboratively with a team
• Able to learn quickly and take initiative with a strong sense of ownership, with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple assignments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum GPA of 3.0

Compensation:

• The base pay for this position is $20/hr.
