    Job Summary

    Under limited supervision, the Senior SQL Server Database Administrator will coordinate, design, secure, and manage enterprise-level databases to store and maintain large volumes of critical business data. This role serves as a senior subject matter expert and may act in a lead capacity.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform all aspects of SQL Server database administration, including:
      • Schema management, security, installations, upgrades, patching
      • Backup & recovery, space management, performance tuning, and capacity planning
    • Support SQL Server databases across Production, Test, and Development environments
    • Support SQL Server databases within Microsoft SharePoint farm
    • Install, upgrade, configure, test, and deploy SQL Server Always On
    • Develop and implement database recovery plans and procedures
    • Analyze database performance and recommend tuning and application changes
    • Implement and validate database security and user authentication
    • Review system designs and develop new database systems as required
    • Modify database structures and deploy schema changes for new requirements
    • Create scripts for batch data loads and operational job automation
    • Work with Cohesity Backup Appliance
    • Apply working knowledge of Cloud technologies and governance

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
    • 7+ years of experience supporting databases, operating systems, or related technologies
    • Strong expertise in SQL Server DBA functions (100% DBA preferred)
      • Second preference: 60% Developer / 40% DBA
      • Architects and Project Leads will not be considered
