About This Role

Interim Senior Accountant Consultant, supporting a Regulatory Accounting team during a period of elevated close activity and SAP ERP transformation. This 6 month opportunity requires hands‑on operational accounting expertise within a highly regulated and complex environment. This role is partnering with Financial Reporting, Regulatory Accounting, and cross‑functional stakeholders working on month-end close, reconciliations and supporting schedules delivering accuracy, timeliness, and process stability.

What You Will Work On

• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities aligned with corporate deadlines and internal controls.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and variance analyses for regulatory accounts.
• Research complex regulatory accounting transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation and regulatory balance tracking to support compliance requirements.

What You Will Bring

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at the Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant level.
• SAP expertise and comfort operating in large, matrixed organizations.
• Prior experience in regulated industry accounting-utilities, energy, government, or similar.
• Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines independently, with proven analytical rigor and documentation accuracy.
• A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset-someone who blends manager‑level judgment with hands‑on execution and thrives in transformation environments.
