Sr. Accountant

Pride Health is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical company to identify a Sr. Accountant for an opportunity near San Diego, CA.

Pay rate range: $50-$55/hr. (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and recording journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain accruals, including R&D accruals.
• Perform General Ledger and bank account reconciliations and analyses.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records and systems.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Analyze and process financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Support special projects and other accounting activities as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of general accounting experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotech, or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with GL modules of ERP systems; NetSuite preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
