Senior Accountant

Schedule: Hybrid

Salary: $90,000 - $97,000 annually

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with business leaders, and driving process improvements. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining the integrity of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and record journal entries in compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Review financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Monitor and maintain fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to improve financial processes and internal controls.
  • Assist with sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation or CPA-track candidate preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong process improvement and systems implementation experience.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $97,000.00 per year
