    Job DescriptionAs a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer at Honeywell, you will lead and manage advanced aerospace projects, driving innovation and ensuring successful delivery of cutting‑edge solutions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align project goals with business objectives and customer requirements, playing a pivotal role in advancing aerospace technologies. You will report directly to our Engineering Director and work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule. For the first 90 days, new hires will report onsite Monday through Friday. In this role, you will impact the aerospace industry by delivering innovative projects that enhance performance, safety, and efficiency of aerospace systems, positioning Honeywell as a leader in aerospace technology.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful and on‑time delivery of aerospace projects.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.Manage program to defined budget, scope, and period of performance, while identifying and mitigating project risks.Identify and mitigate risks to project success and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with internal and aerospace industry standards.QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.5+ years of experience in advanced project engineering within the aerospace industry.5+ years of project management, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional collaboration.Advanced degrees such as MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.Experience leading complex aerospace projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.Experience with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements relevant to project execution and delivery.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and technology advancement.Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.BenefitsIn addition to a competitive salary and leading‑edge work, Honeywell employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.     The first autopilot in 1914, Charles Lindbergh’s first successful solo flight across the Atlantic in 1927, Amelia Earhart’s landmark flight in 1932, and the world’s first sonic boom in 1947, were all made possible because of aviation technology developed by Honeywell and its legacy companies.

    In the 1950’s, Honeywell Aerospace and its legacy companies changed the face of flying with the development of the first gas-turbine engines and the ring laser gyroscope, which dramatically changed guidance and navigation forever. Sperry brought computer technology to the cockpit with electronic flight instrument systems, flight management systems and other digital technology, and Bendix introduced the first commercial weather radar system.Today, Honeywell Aerospace continues to innovate in the frontier of flight safety with traffic alert and collision avoidance technologies, the AlliedSignal Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System, and systems that help pilots avoid severe weather and hazards such as lightning and wind shear. We at Honeywell Aerospace are proud of our contributions to aviation history, but we’re just as proud of the history we’re making today.

    We have created the state-of-the-art integrated Aircraft Environment Surveillance System for the Airbus A380, and our advanced flight management, power distribution, pneumatic, and landing systems will help A380 operators reach new heights of performance and efficiency.
