Job Summary
Responsible for creating and developing solutions for business problems using data mining and analytics. Leverages innovative analytical techniques to uncover patterns and trends in data. Utilizes data visualizations to implement and socialize actionable and implementable insights with business partners, including marketing, sales, and supply chain.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Nature and Scope
Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.
Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in market intelligence, strategic analysis, or competitive research, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth industry.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, or SAS) is a plus.
Strong command of forecasting methodologies and scenario planning techniques.
Experience identifying market opportunities and sizing new or adjacent markets.
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills; able to communicate insights to executive audiences.
Experience working cross-functionally with strategy, finance, and commercial teams, among others.
Intellectually curious and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
