Shift: Day, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Looking for a collaborative Assembly Specialist with a positive mindset to become part of the Defense and Space division at Skyworks. The Assembly Specialist plays an essential role in producing high-performance, high-quality products for customers in aerospace, defense, medical, extreme industrial, and other high-reliability markets and applications. This role requires someone who can communicate and work across departments regarding assembly problems and corrective actions, while being a self-driven team contributor with a strong commitment to succeeding in a quality-centered assembly operations setting.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to assemble semiconductors under a microscope using liquid dispensing systems, die attach, wire bond, seal, and marking equipment
• Prepare production materials for use (for example staging, measuring, mixing, and related tasks)
• Carry out visual inspections before, during, and after the assembly process
• Examine and complete lot travelers to ensure proper documentation of the assembly process

Required Experience and Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent experience required

Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing small components under a microscope

Basic computer proficiency (Windows environment and Microsoft Office preferred)

Ability to work under a microscope for long durations

Strong hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and basic clean room experience

Ability to monitor and evaluate own performance

Familiarity with MIL-STD visual inspection standards preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret work-related documentation

Must demonstrate a team-focused attitude, accountability, and ownership

Experience using small hand tools (e.g., tweezers)

Highly motivated, hands-on, cooperative, and consistently positive attitude required

US Citizen or Green Card holder

Desired Experience and Skills

Experience with SAP, Bar Code Scanning system, and MES software is a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $23.65 - $42.88 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
