Senior Workflow Developer
Location: Omaha, Nebraska (Onsite)
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Workflow Developer to join its Enterprise Technology team in Omaha. This position is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing workflow automation, business process management, document capture, and case management solutions that are critical to day-to-day business operations.

This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-scale modernization initiatives, workflow automation projects, and system integrations that directly impact operational efficiency across the organization.

Please note: This is an onsite position based in Omaha, Nebraska. Candidates should be able to work regularly from the office and collaborate closely with technical and business teams.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support workflow automation and business process solutions.
Build and maintain workflows, forms, integrations, and enterprise process automation solutions.
Support modernization initiatives involving document processing, scanning, and intelligent automation technologies.
Own development efforts from requirements through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement.
Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Develop scalable, maintainable solutions using established development standards and best practices.
Integrate enterprise systems using APIs, web services, and database technologies.
Participate in unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing activities.
Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, QA professionals, and business stakeholders.
Participate in solution design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning activities.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Mentor team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of software development experience.
Experience with workflow automation, BPM, case management, or process orchestration platforms.
Strong understanding of workflow design, business process automation, and enterprise application integration.
Experience working within Agile development environments.
Experience supporting enterprise applications in production.
Strong SQL and database development experience.
Experience developing integrations using APIs, web services, and related technologies.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with enterprise workflow, BPM, or case management platforms such as Appian, Pega, OpenText, IBM BAW, Camunda, or similar technologies.
C#/.NET development experience.
Java development experience.
Experience with React, Angular, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
Experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, or GraphQL.
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies.
Exposure to cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of application security concepts such as OAuth, JWT, and role-based access controls.
Experience with document capture, intelligent document processing, or scanning technologies.
