Position Title: Budget Analyst

Waypoint’s client is seeking a Budget Analyst to support program budget formulation, execution, and financial management activities within a mission-focused Intelligence Community environment.

This role provides direct support to senior leadership, program offices, and contracting stakeholders by delivering comprehensive financial analysis, budget oversight, and resource planning. The selected candidate will ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and reporting requirements while maintaining accurate and timely financial data across multiple systems.

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting budget formulation, execution, and financial analysis in a government or defense environment.
  • Experience working with program financial management, resource allocation, and variance analysis.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and financial management systems/tools.
  • Experience supporting financial reporting, reconciliation, and audit readiness activities.

Desired:
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or DoD financial management environments.
  • Familiarity with government acquisition processes and program funding structures.
  • Experience processing and tracking FFO/FTO financial activities.
  • Experience developing financial briefings and presenting recommendations to leadership.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements in financial operations.
  • Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder program environments.
