Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer

SRI Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer with a major corporation in Orlando, FL. 4 days per week on-site, Fridays remote.

Must Haves:

• Very proactive, very curious, someone who handles large deep diving into data SQL and Tableau are must haves.
• Must be able to set up dashboards, Snowflake experience - will be working with Snowflake for deep dive data driven work.

Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to support the development of our Enterprise Technology Cost Transparency initiative. This role will design and deliver scalable financial reporting and analytics solutions that provide business leaders with visibility into technology spending, cost allocations, consumption, and financial trends.
The ideal candidate combines strong Tableau development, SQL, data engineering, and financial analytics expertise to transform complex enterprise data into actionable business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
• BI Development: Design and develop Tableau dashboards, executive reporting, KPIs, and interactive drill-down capabilities.
• Data Integration: Consolidate financial data from ComSci, direct billing, procurement, and other enterprise systems into a unified reporting solution.
• Data Engineering: Develop and optimize SQL queries, ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and reporting datasets.
• Financial Analytics: Build reporting capabilities to analyze technology spend, cost allocations, consumption trends, variances, and financial performance.
• D ata Quality & Governance: Ensure reporting accuracy through reconciliation, validation, documentation, and appropriate data access controls.
• Advanced Analytics: Establish the data foundation for future AI-powered insights, natural language querying, anomaly detection, and proactive financial intelligence.
• Stakeholder Collaboration

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics Engineering.
• Advanced Tableau development and dashboard design experience.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, data transformations, and performance optimization.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and enterprise data modeling.
• Experience working with large financial or operational datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with IT financial management, technology cost allocation, chargeback, or enterprise financial reporting.
• Familiarity with ComSci, Apptio, SAP, Coupa, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Python, cloud data platforms, and modern data warehousing.
• Knowledge of financial concepts including OPEX, CAPEX, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Exposure to AI-driven analytics, semantic modeling, and natural language query capabilities.
