This role supports a major AMI modernization initiative by analyzing
business processes, developing detailed requirements, supporting technical
contracting activities, and executing small technology projects. The Business
Systems Analyst Senior I partners closely with the Senior II BSA, vendors,
architects, and technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately captured,
regulatory impacts are understood, and solutions align with business
objectives. The role also contributes to budget tracking, management reporting,
and executive‑level presentations.
Key Responsibilities
Support
technical contract development by collaborating with vendors and technical
stakeholders to assess requirements, regulatory impacts, and compliance
needs.
Lead small
technical projects using Agile, SDLC, and modern development
methodologies.
Provide
accurate budget analysis and management reporting to support leadership
decision‑making.
Analyze complex
business processes and translate them into detailed functional
requirements.
Assess
regulatory impacts and ensure requirements reflect compliance obligations.
Facilitate
requirements workshops with diverse stakeholder groups to build consensus.
Maintain
requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate
with vendors, contractors, developers, and architects to ensure accurate
implementation.
Present system
functionality and enhancements using clear demonstrations and visual aids.
Perform other
duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience:
5+ years of
related business systems analysis experience.
Preferred: 3+
years of technical requirements gathering.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to
develop detailed functional specifications and business rules.
Ability to
influence solution design within project teams.
Ability to work
independently on moderately complex initiatives.
Knowledge of
business processes across functional domains.
Knowledge of
data concepts relevant to business systems analysis.
Skill in
analyzing system impacts and downstream effects.
Skill in
facilitating requirements workshops.
Preferred:
Experience with communication management and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred:
Knowledge of requirements management, SDLC, Agile, and development
methodologies.
Candidates who can be on site 4 days a week given strong preference. Will consider strong candidates who can travel to site for meetings biweekly.
