Sr. Computer Vision and Machine Learning Engineer, Creativity Apps

As a Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer, you will be working alongside our world-class creatives, designers, and engineers to help innovate in the creative space in ways that only Apple can. This is a highly visible, highly impactful opportunity! The ideal candidate combines strong foundations in agentic workflows with hands-on experience building, evaluating, and deploying complex user-facing systems. This position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization. You will contribute to the design and development of next-generation agentic features for Apple's creative applications.Design agentic workflows that use these models to solve multi-step user problems, including tool contracts, schemas, and orchestration logic. Build state-of-the-art vision models, from data collection to architecture design and training. Build evaluation frameworks for agentic workflows, covering task success metrics, benchmarks, and regression testing. Partner with client teams to integrate models and workflows into model runtimes and orchestration frameworks. Work with cross-functional teams to take ML-powered features for creators from concept to delivery.MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, and 4+ years of industry experience delivering products in generative AI, machine learning, or computer vision. Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning and deep learning. Experience building and evaluating LLM/VLM-powered agents, including tool use, multi-step reasoning, planning, and context management. Hands-on experience building, training, and deploying transformer-based vision models, GANs, or related methods. Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ and a deep learning framework such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow. Creative problem solver with strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience deploying agentic systems to production, including work on AI reliability, safety, or benchmarking. Experience fine-tuning LLMs or training adapters for foundation models. Experience optimizing models for resource-constrained platforms, ideally with Core ML, Swift, and iOS/macOS. Strong patent and publication record at top conferences. Keen interest in the art and science of photography.
