The Role

UNFOLD is actively seeking a talented and driven integrated Senior Copywriter  to join our growing Gaming Group. As a Senior Copywriter at UNFOLD, you are a crucial member of our creative team, responsible for producing captivating and strategically sound copy across various platforms. 

As a Senior, you also hold these truths to be self evident:

• Puns and wordplay are but one flavor that should be enjoyed sparingly

• A chameleon who can write in many voices is more valuable than the most eloquent singular voice 

• A writer who doesn’t read is like a chef who doesn’t eat

• The best writers are capable of writing sparkling dialogue for themselves

• Conceiving and communicating the  big idea is the ultimate win

Your involvement spans from the initial stages of ideation to the final stages of scripting and copy creation, collaborating closely with other creatives to develop messaging that is crisp, insightful, and impactful. Your writing doesn't just engage; it captures the strategic essence of each project.

Through your distinctive voice, you will help drive UNFOLD's commitment to delivering communication that is not only innovative and effective but also linguistically nuanced, strategically targeted, and culturally relevant.

While it is not mandatory that you be an active and passionate gamer with a nuanced understanding of gaming audiences, it would certainly give you a leg up to thrive in this role. 

• Create original, persuasive copy and brand stories for various mediums, in line with strategic creative briefs.

• Collaborate with the creative team to develop and refine messaging strategies, ensuring coherence and impact.

• Contribute to diverse projects across sectors, ensuring adaptability and freshness in messaging.

• Stay updated on the latest trends in copywriting and marketing to bring innovative ideas to the table.

• Manage the copywriting aspects of projects from inception to completion, producing content that is engaging, informative, and entertaining.

Here’s What It Takes

• Excellent writing skills, both in wordsmithing compelling and strategically sound copy and in writing long-form (TV spot and trailer) scripts that conjure emotionally  vivid visuals 

• Creative thinker with a flair for structured storytelling and persuasive communication.

•  Experience working on integrated campaigns, with go-to-market campaigns a huge plus

• Dynamic ability to present work internally and externally, and a deep understanding of how to curate and communicate big ideas in decks that lead directly to wins

• Proficient in social media marketing, attuned to cultural trends, and committed to consumer-focused content creation.

• A strong understanding of brand messaging and audience targeting.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a creative team environment.

• Dynamic capacity to handle multiple projects and adapt to varying priorities

• Knowledgeable about the latest trends in digital marketing and the overall creative process.
