Senior Credit & Collections Specialist

Location: Pasadena, CA

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour

Employment Type: Temporary to Hire

LHH is partnering with a well-established company in the construction industry to hire a Senior Collections Specialist in Pasadena, CA. This temporary-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced collections professional with a strong background in construction-related accounts receivable, preliminary notices, lien releases, and commercial collections.

Responsibilities:

• Manage collections on commercial customer accounts and follow up on past-due balances via phone and email

• Reconcile customer accounts and research outstanding balances and discrepancies

• Prepare and manage preliminary notices

• Prepare and process conditional and unconditional lien releases

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances

• Research billing disputes and determine appropriate resolutions

• Process invoice credits, adjustments, and corrections as needed

• Work with internal billing, field, and operations teams to resolve issues impacting collections

• Prepare weekly collection reports and provide updates on outstanding accounts

• Maintain accurate documentation related to collection activity, notices, and releases

• Assist with additional credit and collections responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial collections or accounts receivable experience

• Previous experience within the construction, contracting, or related industry strongly preferred

• Hands-on experience with preliminary notices and conditional/unconditional lien releases

• Strong knowledge of commercial collection and account reconciliation processes

• Experience researching and resolving billing and invoice discrepancies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage a high-volume workload and multiple priorities
