Job Summary:
- As a Sr Data Analyst, you will play a key role in building and maintaining interactive dashboards and analytical assets for Thermo King s customer-facing TracKing platform.
- This role requires deep experience in transforming complex datasets into intuitive, actionable insights for external customers.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tableau, including relationships, LOD expressions, and advanced calculations, as well as a solid understanding of SQL and data modeling best practices.
- This position requires a detail oriented professional with strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high quality, accurate dashboards that help customers make informed decisions.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards for the TracKing customer-facing platform.
- Simplify complex datasets into clear, intuitive visualizations and analytical insights.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective dashboard solutions.
- Use advanced Tableau capabilities such as relationships, LOD expressions, parameter controls, and complex calculations.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting and analysis needs.
- Apply data modeling best practices to ensure scalable, reliable analytics.
- Validate data accuracy and ensure dashboards reflect consistent, high quality information.
- Document data sources, calculations, and dashboard logic for transparency and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot issues with dashboards, data pipelines, and data quality.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, product management, and customer support.
- Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles.
- Strong proficiency with Tableau, including relationships, LOD functions, and advanced visualization techniques.
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience writing complex queries.
- Experience with data modeling concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with ETL concepts, data integration tools, and operational data sources.
- Experience working with large datasets and optimizing queries for performance.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git is beneficial.
- Strong problem solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for non technical audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
