Sr. Database Administrator

Responsibilities: of the Senior Database Administrator Include: Configure, administer, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases, monitoring system health, storage capacity, performance, and availability. Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and database configurations to improve processing efficiency and throughput. Manage backups, restores, patching, upgrades, replication, and recovery processes to ensure reliable data operations. Implement encryption, auditing, role-based access controls, and database hardening in partnership with security teams. Support cloud database migrations, troubleshoot application and data pipeline issues, and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational reports. Qualifications: for the Senior Database Administrator Include: Must have an active Top Secret security clearance. Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in database administration or data platform operations. Expertise administering enterprise relational database platforms such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL. Hands-on experience with SQL optimization, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and database performance tuning. Experience supporting cloud database platforms; AWS RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB experience preferred. Strong understanding of database security, encryption, backup and recovery, clustering, and replication. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Federal modernization, ETL/data migration, containerized workloads, DevSecOps, and Python, Bash, or PowerShell experience preferred. Compensation: and Benefits for the Senior Database Administrator Include: Salary Range: $140,000-$150,000 annually, depending on experience.
