Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support the development and operation of secure, high-performance cloud and hybrid environments that power mission-critical applications. Youll work alongside software engineers to automate infrastructure, improve deployment processes, and ensure reliable system performance across development and production environments.

Responsibilities

Build, deploy, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using DevOps best practices.

Develop and support CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery and operational efficiency.

Automate infrastructure, configuration management, monitoring, backups, and security processes.

Troubleshoot issues across development, test, and production environments.

Administer Linux/Unix systems and support containerized applications and orchestration platforms.

Collaborate with software development teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.

Create and maintain deployment documentation, operational procedures, and automation tools.

Contribute technical leadership and continuous improvement initiatives across the DevOps environment.

Required Skills

Strong experience with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and Git source control.

Hands-on experience with Linux administration and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar.

Proficiency in Python and experience with C++ or Java.

Experience automating deployments, infrastructure, and operational processes.

Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS.

Strong troubleshooting skills across complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Jenkins, Ansible, and Agile/Scrum development.

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, and security best practices.

Previous experience supporting classified government environments or holding an active DOE or DoD security clearance is a plus.
