• Technology Strategy & Architecture Leadership

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, roadmap, standards, and guiding principles for restaurant technology.

• Oversee architecture and integration strategies between restaurant systems and enterprise platforms, including:

• Define integration standards and reusable patterns that improve speed and reduce implementation complexity.

• Lead architecture reviews for large-scale transformation initiatives.

The Sr. Director, Store Technology Design & Architecture is responsible for defining the strategy, architecture, and end-to-end technical and process design of the technology environment within our restaurants.

This leader establishes the technology standards and reference designs that enable reliable, scalable, secure, supportable, and cost-effective restaurant operations. The role spans the entire store technology ecosystem, including point of sale, payments, kitchen technology, restaurant networking, edge computing, digital ordering, drive-thru technology, displays, end-user devices, peripherals, IoT, connectivity, and supporting cloud services.

Beyond establishing architecture principles, this role is accountable for turning those principles into repeatable restaurant designs. The Sr. Director will ensure that new restaurants, remodels, technology refreshes, and major technology initiatives have clearly defined designs, standards, bills of material, integration patterns, and implementation requirements.

Working closely with Store Technology, Operations, Digital, Security, Enterprise Architecture, Construction, Design, Procurement, franchise partners, and strategic vendors, this leader ensures technology is intentionally designed into the restaurant rather than added after the physical and operational environment has already been established.

The ideal candidate combines strong architectural thinking, hands-on technical depth, restaurant operational understanding, and design discipline with the leadership skills required to establish standards across a large, multi-brand distributed restaurant system.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, preferred.

• 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology leadership, architecture, or engineering roles.

• 7+ years leading architecture or technology organizations.

• Deep experience designing and supporting large-scale restaurant, retail, hospitality, or distributed-location technology environments.

• Demonstrated success leading enterprise architecture initiatives and digital transformation programs.

• Experience managing multimillion-dollar technology portfolios and strategic vendor relationships.

• Experience supporting franchised restaurant operations, preferred.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, preferred.

• Familiarity with modern data architecture, AI-enabled solutions, and edge computing environments, preferred.
