Sr. Electrical Engineer, PE - Forest, VA

Senior Electrical Engineer (PE)- We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain strong client relationships. This role involves technical leadership, design oversight, construction administration, and mentoring junior engineers.

What You'll Do

• Lead electrical engineering projects from initial planning through final design and construction.
• Perform engineering analyses, investigations, studies, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Develop electrical designs, construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Present technical solutions and design recommendations to clients.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and other disciplines.
• Conduct field inspections and evaluate existing electrical systems and components.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, workflows, and design deliverables.
• Review and mentor the work of junior engineers and designers.
• Perform construction administration activities and support business development.
• Seal final engineering documents and drawings, assuming professional responsibility for the work.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 10+ years of experience as a practicing Professional Engineer.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within six months of employment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, applicable codes, and industry standards, including NEC (NFPA 70) and NFPA 70E.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant electrical design software.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client and contractor interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
