Job Summary and Mission

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with strong operational expertise across SAP landscapes and the ability to support SAP SuccessFactors administration and configuration activities as business needs arise. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, performance, security, and scalability of our SAP ecosystem while partnering closely with HR, application, infrastructure, and security teams.

The ideal candidate combines deep SAP Basis expertise with a broad understanding of SuccessFactors modules, integrations, and configuration practices. This position plays a critical role in maintaining business continuity, supporting strategic initiatives, and enabling a world-class partner experience through reliable enterprise platforms.

SAP Basis Administration

• Administer SAP environments including on-prem ECC, , BW, Solution Manager, SAP PI/PO, SAP Cloud Connector, and related SAP technologies.
• Manage SAP system installations, upgrades, support package implementation, kernel updates, and system refreshes.
• Perform transport management, client administration, system copies, and landscape maintenance activities.
• Monitor SAP system health, performance, availability, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and root cause complex SAP infrastructure issues.
• Maintain high availability and disaster recovery capabilities across SAP platforms.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure SAP environments meet security, compliance, and operational standards.
• Support SAP integrations with enterprise applications and cloud services.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures, monitoring standards, and automation solutions.

SAP SuccessFactors Support

• Support configuration and administration activities within SuccessFactors modules.
• Partner with HR and business stakeholders to implement approved configuration changes.
• Assist with role-based permissions, workflows, business rules, and system setup.
• Support data loads, integrations, testing, and release validation activities.
• Participate in SuccessFactors quarterly release reviews and impact assessments.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate vendor support when required.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure SAP systems comply with company security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with security teams on vulnerability remediation and audit activities.
• Support access controls, segregation-of-duties requirements, and compliance reporting.
• Implement and maintain secure operational practices across SAP platforms.
• identify permanent resolutions to infrastructure or business process issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of SAP Basis Administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting SAP ECC, S/4HANA, HANA databases, and SAP NetWeaver platforms.
• Experience performing system upgrades, patching, transports, and environment refreshes.
• Experience with SAP monitoring, performance tuning, and incident management.
• Knowledge of SAP security concepts and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Experience working in production environments requiring high availability and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering SAP SuccessFactors.
• Experience configuring one or more SuccessFactors modules including Employee Central, Recruiting, Performance & Goals,
• Compensation, Learning, or Onboarding.
• SAP Basis certification and/or SuccessFactors certification.
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud-hosted SAP environments.
• Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with SAP Identity Authentication Services (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Services (IPS).
• Experience supporting global HR systems and integrations.

The successful candidate will:

• Maintain highly available and secure SAP environments.
• Provide dependable operational support for critical HR and enterprise systems.
• Lead Basis maintenance, upgrades, and performance initiatives.
• Independently resolve complex production issues.
• Serve as a trusted partner to HR, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
• Contribute to ongoing modernization of Starbucks" SAP landscape.

• If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
