Position Description

The Senior Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, and support of all facility engineering related to sterilization infrastructure projects. As the owners-rep engineer, you will manage a broad array of projects including HVAC, exhaust, chillers, boilers, dry compressed air, and more.

Position Responsibilities – A Day In the Life

• Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
• Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
• Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
• Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
• Inspect or direct the inspection of construction, installation progress, and commissioning to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Travel to other sites 5-10% depending on project needs.

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of Facility Mechanical infrastructure, Electrical Infrastructure, and Building Automation Systems experience OR Master’s Degree and 2 years of experience.

Nice to Have

• Mechanical system knowledge (HVAC, electrical, building automation, plumbing systems).
• Experience supporting design/build of clean rooms, chiller plants, compressed air plants.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics.
• Experience with integrated building solutions including temperature control, critical environment monitoring, power management and alarming, zoned lighting control and facility access control.
• Tridium/Niagara or Siemens Client experience.
• Facility Commissioning experience.
