Strong experience with gas turbine outages, troubleshooting, and reliability programs
Experience with GE Frame 6B and/or 7FA dual-fuel turbines strongly preferred
Ability to lead technical projects, outage support, and root cause investigations
Job Summary:
NAES is seeking an experienced Sr. Field Engineer to support gas turbine power generation facilities with engineering, maintenance, outage execution, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement activities. This role will serve as a senior technical resource supporting plant operations, maintenance strategies, equipment performance, and long-term asset management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong gas turbine experience in an operational power plant environment and the ability to work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, OEMs, and contractors to support safe and reliable plant performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for gas turbine operations, maintenance, and reliability activities
Support planning and execution of major gas turbine outages and inspections
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for turbine and auxiliary system issues
Review OEM recommendations, maintenance strategies, and technical documentation
Support reliability improvement initiatives, engineering studies, and special projects
Assist with technical procurement support, vendor coordination, and engineering documentation
Coordinate with plant personnel, contractors, OEMs, and project teams to support plant objectives
Job Requirements:
Strong knowledge of gas turbine systems and power plant operations
Experience supporting outage execution, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities
Understanding of reliability programs, engineering documentation, and root cause analysis
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to travel and support field activities as needed
Education / Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences required
Minimum 7 years of relevant power generation engineering experience required
Experience supporting gas turbine field engineering or turbine maintenance preferred
GE Frame 6B and/or 7FA experience strongly preferred
PE registration preferred where applicable
