The MCAPS Finance organization works across all Microsoft products & services and influences sales teams world-wide. We are looking for finance professionals who can proactively partner with both finance and business leaders to drive global impact with the goal of optimizing resources, maximizing revenue, margin, and market share. Our CSU Finance team is looking for a Sr Finance Manager to partner with our business to look at the intersection of our Cloud and Unified businesses, developing analytics and providing recommendations on how to accelerate our Customer's Journey in Security workloadsThis role will partner closely with the CSU Security Solution Area VP, Field Leaders and other MCAPS Finance teams to design our consumption strategy and move forward on our Consumption Value aspirations.

Responsibilities

Prioritize

  • Develop and connect analytics that assess our cloud performance, providing recommendations on how to refine our strategy
  • Lead financial rhythms, provide insights of the performance of our Customer Success business in context of our Security Cloud performance
  • Assess progress and success of our Connected Customer Experiences, tracking key indicators of progress in our Customer's Journey
  • Partner with CS&C Finance Managers in the Field across the A17 to identify best Consumption practices and scale them across the globe

Partnership

  • Partner with CSU Leaders to identify levers that create positive impact in Cloud Consumption
  • Identify best CSU practices and activities that drive consumption of the Microsoft Security Cloud
  • Develop framework to measure Return of Investment of key projects and initiatives and impact it produces in Cloud Consumption

Protect

  • Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes; drives corrective measures
  • Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.

1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.

1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.

1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
