Sr. Fullstack Engineer

    Job Description

     We're assisting a well-funded startup with their search for Sr. Fullstack Engineers. They're building an intelligent personal assistant for patients navigating serious illnesses. Their platform uses AI agents to handle everything from scheduling appointments and coordinating specialists to navigating insurance, securing financial assistance, and managing medical records. The role will work onsite in their Allston, MA office, and they're hiring multiple engineers in this capacity.
     
    What you'll do:

    • Own the greenfield build for two enterprise contracts due at the end of December, plus the updates they need in the consumer app

    • Work closely with the CEO to design the product roadmap for the next few months and the next year

    • Build, debug and run evals on AI agents (Google ADK), including prompt engineering and harness design

    • Own SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance in your first 90 days so the agents are secure and enterprise-ready

    • Mentor and lead the engineering team by assigning tasks, reviewing code and helping hire the next engineers

    What you'll bring:

    • 5+ years of software engineering experience.

    • Experience shipping consumer or user-facing products at a startup or a top product company.

    • Experience building full-stack features for chronic condition management applications.

    • Production LLM experience: agent orchestration, prompt and context design, tool use, evals, guardrails and observability.

    • Strong front-end and design engineering skills, not only back-end skills.

    • Experience with product ownership: roadmap creation and strategic trade-offs.

    • Experience at an early-stage startup.

    • Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers.

    • A formal degree and a strong educational background.

    • Ability to work on-site in Boston, 5 days a week.

    Nice to haves:

    • Design engineering craft (Figma or a similar design tool).

    • Experience with React and Python/FastAPI.

    • Experience with Google Cloud Platform.

    • Experience building HIPAA-compliant systems.
