Job Overview:

The Senior HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting a high?performance, distribution center environment through a hands?on HR partnership with operations leadership and employees. This role focuses heavily on supporting our hourly workforce through IR's payroll process, benefit offerings, and frequent recruitment activity. The Senior HR Generalist will lead employee relations efforts, facilitate HR training, guide performance management processes, and use HR data to influence business decisions. This position is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in fast-paced operational settings and is committed to fostering an employee?ownership culture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR guidance to operations management teams and support the execution of IR's HR strategies.
  • Execute HR plans, policies, and programs that align with business goals, including annual performance management, employee engagement initiatives, merit, and communications.
  • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of the weekly, hourly payroll cycles in partnership with the COE. Frequently assist employees with payroll, benefits, and related question
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and operations leadership on recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Provide new hires with tools and resources on company culture, site processes, and team expectations.
  • Serve as an employee advocate by maintaining positive employee relations and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into, code of conduct, policy and local work rules
  • Partner with operations and HR leadership in resolving employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • Guide leaders and employees in navigating internal performance management systems and processes.
  • Deliver required HR training programs, including annual compliance training
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret HR data to generate insightful reports that support business decision-making.
  • Partner with operations leadership to support local communication plans and create consistent messaging across the site.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resource

Core Competencies:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision making skills.
  • Experience with UKG payroll, timekeeping, and SAP SuccessFactors HRIS strongly preferred.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to leverage HR metrics to support strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
  • Willingness/ability to relocate to other company sites for future HR roles preferred.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR compliance practices.

Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • SHRM-CP or SCP is a plus
