The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Sr. HR Support Specialist. to serve as the operational lead for specific HR processes and services. Serve as the point of contact for HR policy and process questions, escalating to more senior HR team members and subject matter experts as necessary. May serve as a team lead, assist with transactional improvement efforts, and audit and review the work of more junior HR team members. This position is 90% operational and 10% consultative.
Duties include:
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years of administrative experience in Human Resources preferred.
Experience in academic medicine preferred.
Previous Stanford HR experience a strong plus.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively handle highly sensitive and personal information with sound judgment, tact, and discretion.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across the department, school, and university.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google suites. Smartsheet experience is a plus. Familiarity with human resource management systems and time/leave systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Associate Degree and 2 years of relevant human resources experience or combination of education and relevant experience.

The expected pay range for this position is $32.21 to $38.64 (within the 10 Bay Area counties).
