We are looking for a dynamic HR professional to join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Human Resources team as a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) supporting the Infrastructure Supply Chain (AIS-SC) organization.

In this position, you will develop and lead the overarching people strategy for three bespoke functional (corporate) and/or supply chain operations organizations across AIS Supply Chain, partnering with 4-6 senior leaders (Director and above) to deliver on HR priorities that move the business forward, advance efforts to achieve on our three-year growth plan, and enhance the overall employee experience and workplace culture of the organization. You will support global teams spanning the Americas, EMEA, and APJC, collaborating across global leadership teams, HR teams, and cross-functional business partners to deliver on behalf of our end customers. This includes oversight for developing and optimizing people-centered processes while also de-risking the go-forward operations, looking around corners to enable success both in the short-term and longer-term. You will also be empowered to participate in and lead HR projects and initiatives at the business level as well as more broadly across AWS teams.

We are looking for an experienced HR professional and thought leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has the proven ability to implement and optimize HR programs and processes, and thrives at partnering with all levels of business leadership to define and execute against a robust talent strategy. As a visible, value-added business partner, you must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and engaging on a hands-on basis with individuals and teams. This role requires strong business acumen, executive coaching skills, excellent communications skills, strategic thinking capabilities, the ability to prioritize, and strong project management skills.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute on the talent strategy needed to enable rapid scale, optimize productivity, and strengthen impact of the operating model, all while fostering a workplace culture in which all employees can thrive and grow.
  • Work closely with HR partner teams (e.g. BeXT HR Partners, AWS Compensation, Builder and Labor Relations) and a matrix of global HR colleagues to consistently deliver across regions on areas such as talent management, leader and manager development, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Lead Talent Reviews (i.e. Organization and Leadership Reviews) for assigned teams at least twice each year, further developing manager capabilities and a consistent focus on talent calibration, development, goal planning, organization health metrics, and annual performance and compensation planning.
  • Function as a business consultant and thought leader for people initiatives, effectively translating business needs into an actionable talent strategy (and supporting people initiatives). Partner with leadership on workforce planning, leader/manager development, and skills assessment strategies.
  • Inspect and analyze business and HR metrics (e.g. retention metrics, talent acquisition dashboards, productivity metrics) to identify and action opportunities for systemic improvements and/or process enhancements. Look around corners to develop forward-looking mechanisms that support longer-term success of the organization and achievement of the business's three-year plan.
