Job Description
Under limited supervision, responsible for operating, maintaining and servicing HVAC cooling systems and related equipment. Demonstrates a high degree of technical knowledge. Provides guidance to lower level HVAC repairers.
Sr. HVAC Repair, Temporary - Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Services special electrical controls, gauges and panels for all equipment.
- Services and changes out motors, fans, exhausts and vent systems.
- Diagnoses problems and repairs equipment valves, chillers, boilers, traps, exchanger, radiators, regulators, pumps and pipes.
- Repairs and calibrates pneumatic and electric controls, variable frequency drives, connecting pipes, valves, dampers, actuators, air compressors and refrigeration dryers.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and maintains inventory of equipment and supplies. Other duties as assigned.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Level 1 -No supervisory responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff.

- Work involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an "as needed" basis.

- Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude, but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.

- Work involves frequent exposure to unpleasant elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noise, chemicals, etc. Ability to carry and/or lift 45 pounds or more.
