Full-Time | Remote or Hybrid (St. Louis, MO) | $125,000–$150,000

Lead IT. Strengthen Security. Drive Compliance.

We're seeking a hands-on Head of IT to lead technology operations, endpoint security, employee IT support, and a company-wide HITRUST certification initiative for a growing healthcare technology organization.

This is an opportunity for an IT leader who thrives on ownership, takes initiative, and can turn complex security and compliance goals into actionable results. You'll work directly with the CTO and technology leadership team while supporting a global workforce across the US, India, China, and the Dominican Republic.

What You'll Do

• Lead IT operations, identity and access management, endpoint security, and device management.

• Own SSO, MFA, user provisioning, access reviews, and employee onboarding/offboarding.

• Manage office and lab networks, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and SaaS security controls.

• Oversee IT support, incident response, patching, monitoring, and recovery planning.

• Lead the company's HITRUST certification program, coordinating assessments, evidence collection, control owners, and remediation efforts.

• Build scalable IT processes, documentation, and service standards for a globally distributed workforce.

• Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline IT operations, compliance evidence, and employee support.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of IT operations experience, including 2+ years owning IT operations end to end.

• Hands-on experience with identity providers such as Okta, JumpCloud, Entra ID, or Google.

• Experience managing MDM and EDR tools across macOS and Windows environments.

• Strong Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration skills.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, switching, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and VLANs.

• Experience preparing for security or compliance audits, such as HITRUST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA.

• Strong communication, project leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives to completion.

Bonus Points: HITRUST i1/r2 experience, healthcare or medical device industry experience, scripting and automation skills, and security certifications.
