Job Title: Sr. Java Developer
Location: Hybrid 2 Days on site in either Carmel, Indiana - Little Rock, Arkansas, or Eagan, Minnesota

Job Description: Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search several Sr. Java Developers to join an existing team working on a communication platform for market processes. These individuals will work mostly on external, and internally facing applications. These applications are written in Java with Spring boot and Hibernate with Restful APIs. They would work with Oracle SQL, and large database tables and should have experience with Azure integrations, and use of Angular for the UI. For this position we are seeking individuals who like to solve complex problems, are comfortable with reverse engineering, and finding solutions that will be more efficient and effective.  These individuals should be fully stuck but more comfortable with focusing more on the backend.
 
Requirements:

• MUST BE US CITIZEN or Green Card Holder (NO CORP to CORP)
• Must be willing to be onsite for a minimum of 2 days a week in either Eagan, Carmel, or Little Rock.
• 5+ Years of Full Stack Java Development
• Experience with Angular for the UI
• Experienced with Oracle SQL, with extensive experience with large data tables
• Experience with Spring boot, and Hibernate
• Experience with Restful API development, management, and consumption
• Experience with testing
• Experience with Azure cloud integrations.
• Experience with Copilot or Claude
• Experience with GitHub
• Experience Deploying with GitHub

 
Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, deploy, support, and modernize reliable applications, including legacy systems, APIs, and databases, using automated testing and CI/CD on the platforms applicable to the assignment.
• Determine the technical approach for complex features, accounting for functional and non-functional requirements such as security, reliability, performance, maintainability, data integrity, and operability.
• Serve as technical lead for assigned features by refining requirements and acceptance criteria, estimating complex work, coordinating implementation, and supporting deployment and release.
• Apply approved generative AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, code review, documentation, and troubleshooting, to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
• Provide code reviews that uphold team standards and guide others toward maintainable, secure solutions.
• Delivery: Ability to estimate complex work and understand the components required to deploy, release, monitor, and support production software.
• Development of new features, integrations, and maintenance of existing internal and external applications with the use of Java, Spring boot, hibernate, Angular, and Oracle SQL
• Reverse engineering of existing code base
• Integrations within Azure Cloud
• Deployments via Kubernetes and Docker
• Focus on backend Development
